How to Get Your Free Hot Chocolate at Knoops

Go to any decent coffee place in town and you can usually get your coffee prepared a hundred different ways. However, when it comes to hot chocolate there’s very little variety.

Enter Knoops. A god send for true hot chocolate lovers.

Pronounced “Kuh-noops”, it offers 21 different blends of hot chocolate; From 28% Cocoa Blend to 100% Cocoa Blend. Their bestseller is the 43% Single Origin from Venezuela with notes of hazelnuts and butterscotch. However, my barista recommended the 39% single origin from Ecuador with notes of nougat, vanilla and almonds, so I went for that.

Ordering on the app was a breeze, you just need to download the app and apply the “offer” when checking out and it shows up as £0.00. Your barista will call out the code you were given when your drink is ready.

Two things to note: Knoops doesn’t offer any customer Wifi. So it’s not a place for you to spend a few hours with your laptop. Also, it only uses paper cups, even when staying in. Personally, that’s a little disappointing, I actually think hot drinks taste better in a mug. And as we now know, paper cups barely get recycled.
