Hello MCR

92 Degrees Subscription is a Winner
When Pret started their monthly subscriptions years ago, I thought this was a fleeting affair. Just a way to get people out post covid, or shake things up marketing wise. 5 drinks a day seemed like a gimmick (and potentially unhealthy!).
So I was pleasantly surprised to see this offer from 92 Degrees:
£25 per month: 1 drink a day
£35 per month: 3 drinks a day
Subscription 1: £25 per month
£25 a month works out as 83p per coffee. That’s a criminally good offer!
If we take the average price of latte in the uk, £3.51 – that means that anything above your 7th coffee is for free. In other words, if you’re buying at least 7 cups of coffee per month you’d be crazy not to take this deal.
Granted, 92 Degrees isn’t as widespread as a Costa or Starbucks, but if you don’t have one near work – it’s a winner. It also happens to be one of the best coffee shops in the UK. We can only hope this offer lasts.
Subscription 2: £35 per month
This is where it gets a bit tricky. If you’re happy to spend £25 per month, then £35 isn’t a long way off. It’s the equivalent of paying for 3 full priced lattes. So if you’d pay those coffees normally, and you have a branch near you, it’s a great offer. But if you start drinking more just because this offers exist – don’t.
Personally, I have 2 coffees a day. First thing when I wake up, and the second one at 92 degrees. The 3 drinks a day subscription would just make me drink more, or feel like I should.
Do you have one near you?
